A little about me…
Hello, I’m Bethan – a ceramicist working from my pottery studio nestled on a rural organic farm in East Devon, UK. After earning a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Ceramics, I relocated to Devon and spent time working alongside an experienced studio potter, refining my skills and developing a deep appreciation for functional, beautifully crafted tableware.
My journey with clay began from a love of making and a connection to nature – clay being one of the most grounded, tactile materials I could work with. I throw each piece on the potter’s wheel, focusing on clean, simple forms designed for everyday use. I want my pottery to feel at home in people’s lives — offering not just function, but the joy of owning something made by hand, made to last, and made just for them.
My ceramics combine quiet, earthy tones with the occasional burst of vibrant glaze, offering a balance between subtlety and personality. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and made using traditional processes, with a commitment to keeping high-quality, handcrafted ceramics both relevant and accessible.
